These Terms of Use govern your use of the Lambda Reed website and our travel booking services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

Lambda Reed is a travel agency registered in England and Wales, operating from 47 Briggate, Leeds, LS1 6HD. We hold ATOL license number 12345 and are members of ABTA.

2. Use of Our Website

Permitted Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not use our website:

  • In any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law
  • To send or procure the sending of unsolicited commercial communications
  • To attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • To transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable

Accuracy of Information

While we make every effort to ensure the information on our website is accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all content. Prices, availability, and package details are subject to change without notice.

3. Booking Terms

Making a Booking

A booking is confirmed when we issue written confirmation and receive the required deposit. Until that point, no contract exists between us.

Pricing

All prices displayed are in British Pounds (GBP) and are subject to availability. Prices may change at any time before booking confirmation. Once confirmed, your price is fixed subject to our price guarantee terms.

Payment

A deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is due no later than the date specified in your booking confirmation, typically 10 weeks before departure. For bookings made within 10 weeks of departure, full payment is required immediately.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation charges may apply depending on when you cancel relative to your departure date. Please refer to your booking confirmation for specific terms. Changes to bookings may incur administration fees and any additional costs from suppliers.

4. ATOL Protection

When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight-inclusive holiday from us, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.

We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate. In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative.

5. Our Responsibilities

What We Are Responsible For

We accept responsibility for the proper performance of the travel services included in your booking, subject to:

  • Acts or omissions of third parties unconnected with your travel arrangements
  • Unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control
  • Events which we or our suppliers could not have foreseen or forestalled

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited in accordance with international conventions governing air, sea, rail, and road transport. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your own actions, third-party actions unconnected with your travel, or force majeure events.

6. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all travellers hold valid passports and visas where required
  • Meeting all health requirements including vaccinations
  • Arriving at departure points on time
  • Behaving appropriately and not causing distress or damage
  • Taking out adequate travel insurance
  • Providing accurate information at the time of booking

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance immediately upon booking. Your policy should cover cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation, personal liability, and loss of luggage. We are not liable for losses that would have been covered by adequate insurance.

8. Passports, Visas, and Health

It is your responsibility to ensure you have all necessary travel documents. Requirements vary by destination and nationality. We can provide guidance but are not responsible for any failure to obtain correct documentation.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint during your trip, please raise it immediately with the local supplier and with us so we have the opportunity to resolve it. Complaints made after return must be submitted in writing within 28 days of your return.
